PUT CHATTER ON MUTE
As the summer winds down, rising Utah ripper and racer, Bryn Bingham (@brynnerthepinner), and jort-sporting all-around shredder, Delilah Cupp (@dcuppers) of Gotta Eat Dirt fame, get together to send it through some fast and flowy trails around Boulder, CO. The temptation to capture the perfect pose for the ‘gram is strong, but they both eventually agree that the best part of riding bikes is throwing away any digital distractions (sometimes literally!) and actually riding bikes.
Forget about the likes and mentions and incessant notifications: sometimes you just have to silence it all and chase your buddy down the mountain. And maybe throw a few shapes while you’re at it.
Just like we all get sick of the digital noise, nobody likes trail chatter. Washboard ruts, baby-head rocks, and rough roots can all conspire to wear you down and blast your feet off flat pedals. So we came up with Mute™ foam, a patent-pending slow-rebound foam at the heart of our all-new Latch shoe.
Get to Know the Latch Shoe
The brand new Latch mountain bike shoe is ready for going fast, getting loose, and staying in control. We engineered a better interface between your feet and flat pedals, using a patent-pending, slow-rebound Mute™ Foam midsole that cuts out trail chatter that can bounce you off flat pedals and cause fatigue. After we laid that new midsole inside a new flat pedal-specific form, we added our stickiest Tack™ Rubber with a new Gamma tread pattern optimized for grip. Wrap it all in a fast-drying microfiber upper with strategic Rockprint reinforcement for durability, subtract over 100 grams from the weight of our previous top flat pedal shoe, and the result is your best connection to the trail yet.
