Superior Materials, Maximum Protection

At Giro, we are at the forefront of helmet safety technology. Many of our ski helmets are equipped with the MIPS® (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). MIPS® is a technology designed to redirect rotational forces away from the brain during an impact, which may reduce the risk of concussion and other brain injuries in certain impacts. Our partnership with MIPS® is one example of our leadership in the field of head protection.

Some of our products also feature Spherical Technology, powered by MIPS®, which offers a unique ball-and-socket design that redirects impact forces away from the brain, providing top-notch protection without compromising comfort.This design provides an added layer of protection, particularly in high-impact situations. Additionally, our products use Progressive Layering. This optimises the density and materials of both the outer and inner liners, further enhancing head protection.

While safety is the top priority, at Giro we also focus on providing additional features that will boost comfort and convenience. Giro snow helmets feature adjustable fit systems, including an easily adjustable dial and Vertical Tuning. This system allows for a more precise fit, which is especially beneficial for growing kids or adults who want to customise their helmet’s fit. Another fit-feature in our ski helmets is the InForm 2 Fit System, a lightweight, low-profile- design that dials in a custom fit within seconds—even with gloves on. With an improved dial design, riders get up to 6 cm of adjustment, ensuring enhanced stability and a secure fit.

Venting systems and removable ear pads are other features that our ski helmets provide for a comfortable day out. These are particularly useful during warmer spring skiing conditions, allowing you to stay cool and comfortable. The Thermostat Control Adjustable Venting system lets you instantly fine-tune airflow with a simple, low-profile control button on the helmet’s exterior. Fast, easy-to-use and effective. Our Vertical Tuning technology also accommodates various goggle and head shapes, eliminating the dreaded gaper gap for a seamless fit.

Additionally, IONIC+® Padding, infused with pure silver, offers natural, permanent odour protection, ensuring all ski helmet stay fresh even after a full day at the resort or in the backcountry.

Unisex and Women ski helmet designs

We understand that comfort and style are personal, which is why our helmets are available in both unisex and women-specific designs. While there are no functional differences between the two, women ski helmets feature specifics that can appeal more to women.These include softer, plush chin straps and ear pads for extra comfort, as well as a wider range of colours. While these details might seem small, they can really make a difference on long days out on the mountain.
