It doesn't get more efficient than the women's Essence™ Mips®, a fashion-forward helmet with smart goggle integration and the added benefit of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System.
The smart and stylish shield design will keep you protected from the elements without interfering with your favorite eyewear and without smudging make up. You'll also appreciate other important details like the adjustable In Form Fit System, venting that can be tuned, and earpads which are compatible with aftermarket Giro audio systems by Outdoor Tech. The Essence Mips® also is equipped with the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System which can provide more protection in certain impacts.
- INTEGRATED MIPS® BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM — All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. The goal of Giro's Integrated Mips®-equipped helmets is to reduce rotational forces while enhancing fit and comfort by combining the Mips slip plane with the helmet's adjustable fit system. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to rider's brain in certain impacts. - HARDSHELL WITH IN-MOLD HARDBODY™ LOWER WRAP — The two-piece shell combines a tough outer hard shell with a polycarbonate lower shell permanently fused to the liner for durability without excess weight.
- STACK VENT TECHNOLOGY — Our Stack Vent was developed based on research showing the majority of warm air that can cause fogging comes from the goggle's center top vent. Aligning the Stack Vent in the helmet with the center vent of the goggle helps keep it clear and fog-free.
- IN FORM 2 FIT SYSTEM — The In Form 2 Fit System is lighter and lower-profile than the original; and easier to dial in a custom fit in seconds - even with gloves on. An improved dial design provides up to 6cm of adjustment plus enhanced stability.
- THERMOSTAT CONTROL — Thermostat Control Adjustable Venting allows you to custom-tune airflow instantly with a simple; low profile control button on the outside of the helmet. No other system is faster or easier to adjust; and nothing is more effective at keeping you comfortable.

How to measure your size – Wrap a measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Note the measurement and reference the Size Guide. Note: Make sure the helmet fits with a little room when the fit system is loose, and sits low enough to protect your forehead without hindering your vision. Once you’ve got the right size, you can adjust the fit.
