If you are equally comfortable dropping into big mountain lines, tight tree shots, and big features in the park, we've designed and shaped the Owen for you. Minimalist styling with nods to our Ledge helmet is married to premium innovations like our Spherical Technology (powered by Mips®) to create a helmet that is equally comfortable dropping into a big mountain line or running trees-to-groomers-to-park laps with friends. With our riders looking for clean styling, we've developed our new Thermostat Stealth adjustable venting system that still lets you control air flow, but puts the control inside to keep the aesthetics intact. Armed with our In Form 2 Fit System, the Owen lets riders quickly adjust the sizing of the helmet, while also fine-tuning vertical fit. Details like a Fidlock® magnetic buckle and breathable Ionic+® Fleece finish off the Owen for a full day of comfort rolling through the mountains. Freeride technology with a park attitude, the Owen is team-driven and locals-approved.

- STACK VENT TECHNOLOGY — Our Stack Vent was developed based on research showing the majority of warm air that can cause fogging comes from the goggle's center top vent. Aligning the Stack Vent in the helmet with the center vent of the goggle helps keep it clear and fog-free.

Fidlock Magnetic Buckle Closure
Giro helmets are engineered with our proprietary Wind Tunnel venting system. This elaborate design combines active vents in the helmet’s shell with exhaust channels inside the helmet that thrust cool, fresh air over and around the rider’s head while forcing heat and stale air out.

Spherical Technology
Spherical Technology's ball-and-socket design, powered by Mips®, helps redirect impact forces away from the brain by allowing the outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during a crash. It also eliminates contact with hard plastic or slip-planes against the skin.
MIPS® Brain Protection System
All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards. The goal of Giro's Mips-equipped helmets is to reduce rotational forces. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the amount of rotational force that may be transferred to rider's brain in certain impacts.

How to measure your size – Wrap a measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Note the measurement and reference the Size Guide. Note: Make sure the helmet fits with a little room when the fit system is loose, and sits low enough to protect your forehead without hindering your vision. Once you’ve got the right size, you can adjust the fit.
