Introducing the Jackson and Terra Helmets
Ultra-lightweight Giro Jackson and Terra helmets deliver high-performance and modern design
Giro Sport Design, the leader in high-performance snow helmets and goggles, is proud to introduce the new men’s Jackson™ and women’s Terra™ helmets for the 2018-19 winter season.
Rooted in freestyle design, with a new modern aesthetic, the Jackson and Terra helmets build on the Giro Snow helmet line, offering the ultimate in freeride form and function. The sleek, standout helmet lines create an opportunity for an evolutionary step forward in new performance and attributes.
“Both Jackson and Terra deliver Giro’s renowned protection and performance while not skimping on design and style, bringing to market a clean, low-profile, lightweight and comfortable helmet that looks different to anything else out there,” Giro Snow Product Line Manager Mattia Berardi said. “This is achieved by mixing a minimal industrial design, with details and finishes that elevate the product as a whole, creating an evolutionary aesthetic.”
The modern profile of the new Jackson™ and Terra™ helmets is realized through the new Passive Aggressive Venting system – a design inspired by the aerodynamic airflow lines of high-end auto design. The discrete, yet powerful system effectively manages airflow and temperature while in-motion riding, hiking or standing static. Both Jackson and Terra features MIPS technology, a lightweight construction and the dialed in fit of the In-Form 2 Fit system allowing riders to confidently focus on the terrain ahead. The overall look is finished with a slight brim and subtle lines for Seamless Compatibility with Giro VIVID goggles.
The Jackson and Terra Helmets will debut on Giro pro riders on the Freeride World Tour. Other Pro Riders like Nils Mindnich, Callum Pettit, and Ingrid Backstrom are filming ski and snowboard segments in this new helmet.
