Celebrating Colin Meagher and His Work for Giro

We’re stoked to call Colin Meagher, one of the industry’s most acclaimed photographers, a friend and contributor to Giro on photo shoots, mountain bike rides, and hang out sessions for longer than we can remember. Father and husband, veteran photographer, and a true mentor to countless members of the global MTB community, Colin has created one banger shot after another for us, and we’ve shared countless laughs over food, beer, and the trails we love.

When we found out he was battling with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord, we were absolutely crushed and we knew we wanted to do something to help. So, we decided to help throw an event with him at evo that celebrates some of his favorite work, while benefiting him and his family.

If you happen to be in the Seattle area, come out to evo (3500 Stone Way N Seattle, WA 98103) on September 20th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. where we will be viewing photos, participating in a silent auction, selling limited edition Giro x Colin Meagher DND gloves to help Colin pay for his medical bills, and of course, swapping stories and laughs.

If you can’t make it to the event, you can still get a glimpse of Colin’s work here. We asked Colin to put together his favorite shots from his work over the years with Giro, so you could get to know him and our relationship with him, through his photos and commentary. The images capture the memories and the fun times that were shared on these trips, the beauty of the world we ride and play in, and how forever grateful we are to have shared all of this with him. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

If you can’t make it to the event, but still want to help, we encourage you to make a donation to his Go Fund Me Page, here: https://www.gofundme.com/one-more-time-for-colin. This fund will help Colin and his family to make his days a bit easier, and will help to sustain his family in their time of need.
