As the longest running professional mountain bike team (regardless of gender,) the LUNA Chix Pro Team features top women riders from around the world, including 2012 Olympic MTB Bronze medalist Georgia Gould and Cyclocross World Cup winner Katerina Nash; as well as 2012 World Cup Champion/2011 World Champion Catharine Pendrel; 2010 Xterra World Champion Shonny Vanlandingham; Danielle Kabush; Suzie Snyder, 2012 Xterra National Champion; and Teal Stetson-Lee.

“Giro has a proud history of supporting women’s cycling and we’re very excited to be reunited with the LUNA Chix Pro Team,” said Giro Marketing Director Katie Schoeben. “Their approach to cycling as both athletes and ambassadors is truly inspiring and we look forward to the team’s success at the highest levels of cycling, all the way through the Olympic Games in 2016. The LUNA Chix Pro Team are a perfect match for Giro’s Women’s Series line of helmets and accessories, which are designed to offer the best performance and style available, and we both have the same over-arching goal of getting more women on bikes, whether that’s winning races or riding around town with friends and family.”

The LUNA Chix Pro Team will train and race in Giro’s Women’s Series products, including the supremely ventilated, lightweight Amare™ helmet. Their glove choices will include the Xena™, a supple trail glove with Super Fit™ Engineered design; the LA DND™, a durable cross country glove with simple, slip-on design and Giro’s assortment of winter cycling gloves when conditions demand extra warmth.
