GIRO SPORT DESIGN LAUNCHES “FIRST FRIDAY 50” LIMITED-EDITION PRODUCT DESIGNS VIA FACEBOOK

Monthly release will be available worldwide, exclusively for Giro fans on Facebook

Giro Sport Design, the cycling world’s design leader, has announced a monthly release of limited-edition products, available exclusively for their fans on Facebook. The First Friday 50 program provides Giro fans a chance to buy limited-edition products directly from Giro. The items will be available on the First Friday of each month, with 50 pieces of each exclusive design available through the Giro Sport Design page on Facebook on a first-come, first-served basis.

“First and foremost, Giro has always been a design company,” said Giro Design Director Eli Atkins. “This is a chance for our designers to let some of their more creative ideas see the light of day. At the same time, it’s an opportunity to offer our Facebook fans a chance to get something truly special from us.”

The initial edition of First Friday 50 launched today with the Giro Cycling “East Meets West” Classic Cotton Cap. The “East Meets West” theme on this Italian-made, Classic Cotton Cap is inspired by the diverse cycling cultures that have evolved from the East and West coasts of the U.S. The East side shows the iconic architecture of the NYC skyline, celebrating the streets that gave rise to fixed gear culture. The West features San Francisco’s defining architecture, which served as the backdrop for the earliest days of adventure riding and mountain bike culture.

To have a chance to buy the “East Meets West” cap and future First Friday 50 products, Giro fans simply have to “like” GiroSportDesign on Facebook and then click through the First Friday 50 tab. A new item will be launched on the first Friday each month and sold on a first-come, first-served basis and available to riders worldwide. When these items are sold out, they’re gone for good.
