GIRO DEBUTS EXPANDED WOMEN’S SERIES™ HELMET LINE

Five new models create a leading collection of road, MTB and recreational cycling helmets that cover more styles with comfort, performance and value in mind for Women.

Giro, the cycling world’s design leader since 1985, has launched a newly expanded Women’s Series™ line of helmets, created to give women more options in style, performance and detailing. The 2013 Women’s Series line features five new models covering road and mountain riding, in addition to the #1 selling women’s helmet on the market, the Skyla™. Every model features Giro’s renowned fit and features, plus refined graphics and unmatched attention to detail, creating the opportunity for more women to get a helmet that complements their style no matter where or what they ride.

“At Giro, our goal is to enhance the ride experience for every rider,” said Eric Richter, Giro Senior Brand Manager. “Up to now, the helmet market has been driven by unisex designs because women’s head shapes are not fundamentally different than men’s, beyond a slight shift in sizing. But fit is only one part of the equation. We believe that women will appreciate having a wider assortment of styles to choose from, with design and detailing that complement their personal styles and tastes, as well the their performance demands.”

The Women’s Series helmets were designed with consideration for Giro’s lauded and highly-successful range of women’s footwear and softgoods, with color and texture that create options for coordinated looks, as well as individual standouts. From the no-compromise performance of the Factress™ road shoes and Amare™ helmet in coordinated colors, to the timeless style of polka dots in gloves, caps and helmets, Giro has something new and stylish for nearly every woman.
